Here you will find the largest colony of land turtles from the Geochelone chatamensis species. There is a nature path of approximately 5 kilometers (3 miles) that can be trekked in 2-3 hours. During this walk, you will be able to appreciate la flora and fauna that make this place unique.

Punta Pitt

Punta Pitt is located northeast of San Cristobal. It is comprised of a hill that has a small beach full of minerals, one of them being olivine, responsible for the olive green colored sand. 

Later on, the tour continues down an inverted cone-shaped nature path of approximately 1 kilometer and a half (0.93 miles) where you can observe all the area’s fauna. 

Due to its geographical location, the area contains large amounts of minerals, making it a perfect feeding spot for hundreds of different pelagic species. The presence of these species in turn makes it an ideal feeding ground for the marine birds nearby, creating a balanced ecosystem. 

Pitt isle is located in front of Punta Pitt, a great destination for snorkeling or diving due to the presence of an immense variety of marine life.
