The sulfur mines are located on the west side of the Sierra Negra volcano. Large portions of the walking path have Psidium guajava, this is a plant that was brought to the area and ended up invading large portions of this volcanic terrain. The main attractions in this location are the scenic views, the various volcanic fumaroles, as well as the sulfur mines.
